Moonta-Wallaroo (CD)
This dataset has been superseded by the South Australia MGA GIS DVD data package and is no longer updated.
The Moonta-Wallaroo area is an area of historic copper mining and remains highly prospective. The dataset covers the Maitland, Wallaroo and part of Wardang 1:100,000 map sheet areas. In addition to the standard data, the results of a comprehensive report based on re-logging of over 370 drill cores are included in the GIS and provide a coherent geological synthesis and exploration models. Scanned images of selected core photographs and outcrop geology are also included.
