These guidelines have been produced to assist Exploration Licence holders in the preparation and submission of statutory reports for Mineral Exploration Licences in South Australia.
The guidelines have been formulated in line with national standards on the reporting of digital exploration data, and the content of exploration reports. The receipt of these reports in a standardised format and the data in digital form will enable a more efficient and cost effective data capture by government and will ultimately provide:
As from 1 July 2008 the reporting requirements specify that digital data reporting only is required (no hardcopy).

Minerals and petroleum exploration reporting should conform to the national standard developed by the Chief Government Geologists' Committee (GGIC). This standard includes guidelines in relation to the submission of digital data (external site, new window).
