These guidelines have been produced to assist exploration licence holders in the preparation and submission of statutory reports for Mineral Exploration Licences in South Australia
The guidelines are in line with national standards on the reporting of digital exploration data, and the content of exploration reports. The receipt of these reports in a standardised format and the data in digital form will enable a more efficient and cost effective data capture by government and will ultimately provide:

Minerals and petroleum exploration reporting should conform to the national standard developed by the Chief Government Geologists' Committee (CGGC). This standard includes guidelines in relation to the submission of digital data (external site).
Software to facilitate the creation of geochemical, drilling and other point located data in the required templates has been developed to assist with complaince with the reporting guidelines.

To submit forms electronically, save the files to your hard drive and attach each document to an e-mail to: DMITRE.mrgrecordsofficer@sa.gov.au.

Reports up to 5 MB can be sent. Greater than 5 MB should be submitted via FTP or on a CD/DVD.
