Theme 7: Next generation data delivery

PACE Theme 7 - Next Generation Data Delivery - will ensure that explorers get what they need, to enhance conceptualisation of South Australia's geology and help discover the next comparable Olympic Dam mine or Moomba petroleum field.

Almost 1 million pages of historical open file exploration company reports have been scanned and are now available online through the South Australian Resource Information Geoserver (SARIG) for viewing and download (www.minerals.pir.sa.gov.au/sarig).

A new state-of-the-art virtual core library containing spectral and image information from scanned drill core is also available for review via SARIG.

3D models have been produced through the coordinated processing of geophysical and geological data.

Preliminary models for Mount Painter, Gawler Craton, and the Curnamona Province are now available online through SARIG.

Potential field inversion data has also been integrated with the models providing greater access to detail.

SARIG has undergone significant redevelopment with updated and new data layers that are available online.
